• prove feasilibity of plug-in architecture

Approach:

• workspace concept: persistent storage of data, tasks, results
• data management layer abstracts from actual storage (current: in core with disk write-through, in preparation: RDBMS)
• supports entire KDD process
• allows plugging in of input formats and data preprocessing operators as well

Status:

now commercially supported by Dialogis GmbH
