• Relational Databases: SQL to ILP mapping is straighforward, naturally allows multiple tables, multiple stores, etc...
• Deductive Databases.
• Understandability of extracted patterns.
• Postprocessors for derived patterns: ILP can be used atop of a standard data mining capability to build more complex models from derived patterns.
• Data Access costs typically dominate search time: this admits more expensive ILP algorithms assuming they do not need frequent DB access.
